DRYOS is a real-time embedded operating system (OS) developed by Canon and employed in network digital MFPs and even system LSIs for digital video camcorders. DRYOS currently supports more than 10 types of CPUs. DRYOS makes possible the building of an OS simulation development environment on a PC using only a prototype-level device. This enables the development of product application software before the device is completed.
