BASIC OPERATION & IMAGE EDITING FOR CANON DIGITAL PHOTO PROFESSIONAL (DPP)

Course Introduction:

  • Canon Digital Photo Professional (DPP) is high-performance RAW image processing, viewing and editing software for EOS Digital cameras.
  • DPP is easy to use for beginners and professionals. With its powerful and easy-to-use features, the software will make your life much easier.
  • The one day course teaches the basic operations and image editing skills of the Canon DPP software.
  • On location practice session.
  • Find and try out lenses that suit your needs as accessories and lenses will be available for you to try during the course.
  • There will be shooting session that requires participant to take photographs related to the themes given by instructor.
  • Participants will also be given a task to do photo editing before end of the class.
  • You will receive an official Canon accredited certification showing a completion of the programme.

Course Outline:

  1. Basic photography skill and techniques
    • Comprehensive insights into the basic operation of your EOS Digital SLR camera.
    • Learn when to utilize the different shooting modes and menu options.
  2. Outdoor shooting session
    • Themes will be given to participants to shoot related photographs for photo editing
  3. Basic DPP operation
    • What is a RAW image? Think RAW image is difficult to handle? Using DPP you can perform advanced edit with ease.
    • Learn useful tools and features to manage large numbers of images
    • Adjusting an image with powerful and easy-to-use tools.
  4. Advanced Photo Editing
    • Learn how to enhance an image with advanced photo editing tools
  5. Practical
    • Edit your own photo and get relevant informations and comments by instructor.

Requirements for enrolment:

  • Ownership of a Canon EOS Digital SLR camera
  • Applicants should be 16 years old or above
  • Partcipants are required to bring the following items:
    • Laptop with Canon DPP software installed
    • Camera (body and lenses)
    • Memory card
    • Card reader

Terms and Conditions:

  1. No refund will be made once payment is received
  2. he transfer of classes will not be accepted within 7 days prior to the commencement of course. Students are not permitted to transfer into a different course and transfers will be subject to availability. Please note, no refund will be provided to absentee after confirmation has been made.
  3. Canon reserves the right to cancel classes due to special circumstances and insufficient enrolments. If so, participants will be notified of the alternative arrangements.
  4. If participants are found vandalizing school/venue property or that of the other students, behaving destructively or hinder the progress of the lesson then Canon will have the right to invalidate the student's status.
  5. Canon reserves the right to make any alterations to the course details when necessary without prior notice.
